Helen Meier of Louisville passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Helen enjoyed beating Rocky at Backgammon, dice, and poker. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, solitaire on the computer and phone, spending time with family, crossword puzzles, and word scrambles.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Virginia Zimmerman (White), and her sisters, Judy Horn, Virginia Lee (Jim) Pontrich, and Beverly Stewart.
Helen is survived by her husband; Louis Rocky Meier married for 45 years and her children; Norma (Kevin), Norman (Valerie), Maria (Randy), Virgina (Lynn), Angie (Shawn) Padfield, Linda (Jimmy), Barbara Ann (Eric), along with her 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and her remaining siblings; Betty Horn, Forrest (Peggy) Zimmerman, Nancy Nethery.
A celebration of life for Helen will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Ormsby Heights Baptist Church, 2120 Lower Hunters Trace, Louisville, KY.
