He was born in Louisville to James L and Marilyn Bryant and was a retired pipefitter for Local 502. He was a lifetime Catholic by faith, having graduated from Bishop David, and loved the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time at Rough River. He was known to have a huge heart and was always willing to help others.
James is survived by his children Brittany Bryant, Jaime Bryant, James “Ryan” Bryant, and Alexis Canter; sister Kelly Tarter (Jimmy), his mother, Marilyn Bryant; longtime girlfriend Jennifer Haamen; grandchildren, Xavier, Haylo, Jude, and Lila; niece Courtney; and nephew Cody.
Visitation will be held from1-8 Wednesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 Thursday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5433 Johnsontown Road, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
