He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 18, 2006 to James Ryan and Sarah Nicole Cook.
James graduated from Valley High School and worked in steel manufacturing. He loved fishing, ride toys - especially ATVs, and going to his grandparents place on Rough River. James was very close to his family.
James was preceded in death by his grandpas, Howard "Butch" Sidebottom, George Stephen Beaven Jr., and Donald Lee Logsdon; great grandparents, Barbara and Bernie Fox, Bobby and Dorothy Logsdon; great grandma, Lois Beaven; and 2 uncles, Alex Beaven and Marty Logsdon.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents; brother, Jacob Cook; sister, Ashlyn Cook; grandmothers, Janet Sidebottom and Kris Beaven; great grandparents, Jimmy & Helen Cook and Steve Beaven Sr; uncles, Joseph Beaven, Stephen Beaven, Tim Sidebottom (Brandy); special cousin, Jarrett Logsdon; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and great friends.
James will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, 40272, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
