He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginny,” who passed just a few weeks before him and his parents, James and Lily McCalpine.
He is survived by his son, James “Quincy” (Raven); his grandson, Will; and his sister, Cindy Maupin.
In the rhythms of everyday life, James found meaning in simple, enduring joys—the open road and riding his Harley, time at the beach, and music of all kinds. These were the comforts he returned to, and the pleasures that helped shape the life he lived and the memories others will carry forward.
Cremation was chosen per Jim's request.
