Jason Ashley Bockhorst, 50, of Louisville, KY passed away on May 1, 2026. He was a graduate of Bellarmine University and worked in pet care, hospitality services, and was owner of a carpet cleaning company.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adelaide and Gerhard "Dot" Bockhorst, Jr., Artie and Samuel Fielder, his aunt Marilyn Fielder Tracy (Dale), and uncle Robert Fielder.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Carolyn Ballou (Charles) and his father, Gary F. Bockhorst, Sr., his brother Gary F. Bockhorst, Jr. (Nicole "Nikki"-Deceased) his nephews Grant Bockhorst and Clay Bockhorst and his cats, Fritz, Faye and Little Man.
Jason volunteered for many animal organizations and his passion was adopting or placing cats into loving homes. He was also available to anyone who needed his help. He will be missed.
A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Saturday, May 16th at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church located at 6710 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Prospect, KY 40059. Visitation will begin at 10AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
