Jerry Wilhite

Jerry Paul Wilhite, age 78, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving daughters & nephew. He was born on April 25,1946. Jerry was a proud United States Navy veteran. He worked for Palmer Products for 43 years as well as a hobby of working at Frazier Ball Field for 38 years. In his time at Palmer Products he was blessed to have such AMAZING people, Lawrence Palmer-Ball, Chris Palmer Ball and ladies in office who he loved so dearly.

Jerry was also an avid UofL fan.

In addition to his parents, he has 4 beautiful daughters, Melissa Petitt, Cynthia Wilhite, Jacqueline Goff & Dorothy Smith.

He is survived by his daughters, and life long loving partner and best friend Barbara Upton; two brothers, John Wilhite & Jim Wilhite; one sister, Jana Schoenbaechler; two grandsons, Dustin Gibson, Zackary Gibson; five granddaughters, Jodi Spellman, Jamie Spellman, Andrian Beckham, Mallory Anderson, Meredith Kimmel; his nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, and host of many friends; and his beloved furry companion, Toby.

Jerry, was a man of faith, and was a Door Greeter at Kingdom Culture Ministries. Jerry has become the best of friends with members of his church, Bruce McGill, Daniel Gray, Jim & Ann Woodridge. His LOVE for GOD was so pure, and LOVED his Pastor Ken Howard and his wife Dee.

Jerry was met with open arms to his granddaughter, Selena Renea, great-grandson Brayden Lee and his dear friend Ben Upton; and wonderful parents Ethel & Paul that he just couldn't wait to get too.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Advantage funeral Home Hardy Chapel10907 Dixie Hwy, followed by a funeral service in Jerry's honor beginning at 5:00 PM.
