Jesse was a retired mechanic for the City of Louisville, was a fan of UK sports, and he loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Lawrence; son Jesse Lawrence Jr., daughter Tammy Worley; and granddaughter Jennifer Smith. Survivors include his daughters Sandra Brandenburg (Richard) and Malinda Goodrow (Faron); siblings Nellie Dewitt, Phronie Lawrence, Linda Manning, and Richie Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11am-6pm Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by a funeral service at 6pm. Private burial will be at Bethany Cemetery.
