Massey, Juanita,88, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.She was a devout and long standing member of New Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her four sisters and always looked forward to the biennial family reunions in her home state of Georgia. She was a devoted mother to her four sons and loved nothing more than a family get-together and a home cooked meal.She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Sapp and Dorcas Tanner Sapp and her son, Larry Massey.Survivors include her sons, Dr. Evan Massey, Dr. George Benjamin "Ben" Massey (Cathy), and Raymond L." Ray" Massey(Lynn); sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Deane, Salley Harrell, Betty Hewitt and Patricia "Crickett" Smith; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Her service will be on Friday 1 p.m. at The W.G. Hardy Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
