Kent was a retired supervisor for General Electric, where he had worked for 37 years. In his retirement years, he operated a booth at the 7th Street Derby City Flea Market. He attended Flaget and Shawnee High Schools and the University of Louisville. He was a past member of the Louisville Racing Pigeon Club, and was a member of coin club, fishing club, UL Alumni, and he was a huge fan of the UL Cardinals.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Clark Mascio; children, Jody Mascio, Crystal Bryant, Dawn Mascio, and Tom Phelps (Robbin); grandchildren, Harper, Alyssa, Chascity, Tiarra, Josie, Josh (Carly), Melissa, and Kyle; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents Pat and Mary (Sharfenberger) Mascio; a brother, Gary Mascio; and a sister, Patsy Mascio.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 12-8 pm at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy.
