Larry was a carpenter by trade and owned his own remodeling business. He enjoyed gardening and tending to the flowers. He enjoyed anything that involved being with his family. A true family man, always joking, just hanging out or helping family with home improvement projects.
Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Sample; his son, Larry Sample Jr. (Aleisha); and his daughter, Becky Rutko (Bobby); his brother, Richard Sample (Rose); his grandsons, Dakotah Sample (Taylor)and Skylar Sample and his great grandchild Leland Sample with Laylah on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Herbert Sample and his mother Ellen Sample; his brothers, Charles Sample, Donnie Sample, Jackie Sample,Gary Sample and Doug Sample.
To everyone that was recruited into our army to help us during this trying time, we extend a tremendous thank you and endless gratitude.
Visitation for Larry will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Heady-Dixie Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway. Visitation will continue Monday, June 15, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service of 1:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
