Born in New Albany, Indiana to the late Otto and Mary Eblesisor, Linda was a retired bookkeeper for Louisville Auto Auction, and former co-owner of Proffitt’s B&T Auto Sales in Fairdale.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Gary Proffitt; brother, Jerry Eblesisor; and sister, Patricia Wright. Survivors include her sons Danny Harrell (Kim) and Chance Harrell (Jackie); step-daughter Misty Goodman; step-son Travis Proffitt; sisters Cathy Nichols and Betty Carver; grandchildren Ashley, Bridgette, Kenny, Chance, Luke, Jaden, Dakota, Dylan, Baily, Ethan, and Otto; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friends Lavonne, Vicki, Mary, and Mitzy.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday at Advantage Funeral Home – Heady Dixie, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday.
