

The Family of Linda Susan (Brucker) Swift - Known as Sue or Susan To most - would like to let her Extended family and friends know that she died peacefully with her family at her side on 25 April 2018 at the Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital after a brave battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer.
Susan was a life long resident of Valley Station and is the beloved wife of 49 years of Ronald “Ronnie” Swift – her “Rock” and the “Saint” who helped her through her four year battle with cancer.
Susan has been many things throughout her life: a Loving Mother and Wife, a Nurse, an Artist, a School Teacher and most recently a Respiratory Therapist at Southwest Hospital.
She loved to read, watch old black and white movies, garden, shop at MANY local consignment stores and estate sales and spend time with her family.
Susan will be remembered for her beautiful green eyes and smile, her sense of humor, her great wisdom, her trademark bright red lipstick and brightly colored clothes, and her never ending charity to others.
Susan is survived by Six Children, 4 Daughters in law, 13 Grand-Children, and 10 Great Grand-Children – Her proud legacy – and She is predeceased by her father Benjamin Brucker, her Mother Ellen (Cooper) Franke and Step-Father George Franke – all of Louisville Ky.
A celebration for Linda will be held Monday April 30, 2018 12:00 P.M. at Advantage funeral home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy. with burial to take place following her service at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation for Linda will be from 12-8 P.M. on Sunday.
The family asks that contributions be made in Susan’s name to “AllyCat” of Louisville and the Ky. Humane Society, in lieu of flowers
