

Martha Ann French Maze, 91, passed away Friday, May 22. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Norman Eugene Maze, Sr.; her parents, Catherine and Joseph French, Sr.; and her siblings, Janice, Frances, and Andrew.
Martha was born and raised in Uniontown and moved to Louisville after high school, where she met the love of her life, Norman. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church for many years and later became a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Martha faithfully served as a minister of the Eucharist, including bringing communion to the sick, disabled, and elderly in their homes.
She was a wonderful cook who cherished preparing family dinners and gathering loved ones around the table. Martha especially loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Martha is survived by her children, Marie Guelda (David), Norman Maze, Jr. (Cynthia), and Patty Tobbe (Steve); 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ruth Minter, Betty Maze, Irene Walsh, Joseph French, Jr., and Debbie McArdle; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 27, at St. Bernard Church, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
