Marvin served in the Korean War and was a Civil Service employee at the Fort Knox Boatwright building for many years.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jane Stowers, parents and brother. Marvin is survived by his children: Marvin Ray Stowers, Jr.(Robin), Greg W. Stowers (Julie), grandchildren: Erin McGovern (Doug), Ryan and Abby, great-grandchildren, Garrett, Nolan, Preston and Micah, Sister:Paula Painter: Brother-in-law, Vernon Curl: and Sister-in-law, Wanda Walls.
A visitation for Marvin will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11am with the burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
