Michael "Dru" Brown

Dru was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Brown; his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Mike Waelde; his brother, Chris Brown; and his children: Zach (Chelsie), Kiara, Sierra (Marvin), Joseph (Autumn), Michael (Kelly), Taylor (Madison), and Luis (Tito). He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael P. Brown; his brother, Sean Waelde; and his grandparents, Harold Brown, Virginia Clark, Charles and Beatrice Waelde, and Verna and Delmon King.

Dru was an active and faithful member of Ashby Lane Baptist Church. Anyone who spent time with him knew how deeply he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was central to his life and something he shared openly and proudly with others.

Dru will be remembered for his love of family, his strong faith, and the way he touched the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, located at 7710 Dixie Highway, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services at the funeral home at 12:00.

Committal will follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
