Michael Jeffrey Kasbaum

Mike was preceded in death by his Mother, Susan Cox; Grandparents: George & Donna Armstrong and Lenora Kasbaum; and Uncle, Jim Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife, Tish Kasbaum; daughter, Mackenzie Kasbaum; Father, Wesley (Lois) Kasbaum; Step Father, Larry (Vicki) Cox; Grandfather, Louis Kasbaum; Aunts, Carol Massey and Pam (Jim) Conine; Uncles Greg (Cathy) and Kim (Sue Bentley) Jonason; siblings, Scott (Ken) Kasbaum, Jennifer (Cory) Nance, Katrina (Ryan) DeVinny and Tony (Audrey) Cox, lifelong friends, Vincent Murray and Dan Thomas; In-Laws Howard & Barbara Sibert; Sisters-in-Law: Vivica (Greg) Palmer, Rosie Kirkpatrick, and Felicia Sibert as well as 6 nephews, 6 nieces, 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces.

Born in Oklahoma, Mike spent his early years there, then he moved to Arizona where he spent his youth and eventually settled in Louisville, Kentucky. Mike owned and operated Excelsior Video & DJ Service for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist church where he participated in the Bell Choir. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. Mike enjoyed videography, photography, playing piano, riding his motorcycle and music of all types. He loved being part of his customer’s most precious family times.

His family would like to thank all the people who reached out to Mike during his struggle with ALS, and those who were involved with his care – New Beginnings Sunday School Class, Stephanie White, Detra Lewis, his doctors and all other medical professionals.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018, 4:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2000 Douglass Blvd, Louisville, KY 40205. A visitation will precede the service at 3:00 pm.
