

He retired from LL Flex LLC, formerly known as Alcoa and Reynolds Metals where he worked for 40 years.
He grew up in West Point, KY and from a young age his passion was drag racing, legally and illegally. He would race at Ohio Valley Dragway and US 60 Dragway in Hardinsburg, KY. He loved attending and participating in all the car shows around the area and was a member of the Chicken Eater's Car club. His babies were his 1999 Chevy Silverado and his 2000 Ford Mustang "Miss Blue".
He is preceded in death by his parents Ivan "Cack" and Georgia Wright, siblings Zachary Wright and Cindy Searcy.
He is survived by his loving wife Sherry (Hiner) Wright, daughters Kelly Fleig (Albert), April Hill (Adam); grandchildren, Emmy Fleig, Tate and Tyler Hill; siblings Ivan Wright (Cathy), Jennifer Jordan (Bob), Gregory Wright, and, in his own words a "sack full" of cousins and friends.
His visitation service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at Advantage Funeral Home- Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.
In true Mickey fashion, no need to dress up, wear your T-shirt and jeans or your favorite car show T-shirt. Show up in style in your street rod to send him off with one last car show.
