3/24/33 - 1/7/26
Myrtle Lee Bradley Stover, 92, of Valley Station, Kentucky passed away on January 7, 2026. She died in her home surrounded by family. Myrtle or “Bibble” as most called her, was a giver, a healer, and a fixer. Always surrounded by kids she was the “Kool-aide” mom. She had a quick wit, strong spirit, and would always say “I have all I need” no matter how dire the times.
She was the 6th of 8 children born into a farming family on March 24, 1933 in Niagara, KY to Vuis and Mary Bradley of Poole, KY. In her younger years Myrtle was known for her high spirit and a few shenanigans. With a high school diploma fresh in her hands, she married Army soldier Robert Stover, Sr (101st Airborne) in 1952 and in true military fashion she traveled the world and never met a stranger.
In her 92 years, Myrtle transitioned from farming life, to military life (20 yrs) to civilian life, carrying with her a feisty determination, and a great sense of selflessness. Her plants always flourished, “her” U of L Cardinals were her joy, and her poetry was her tranquility. She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly. Matt 11:28-30.
Myrtle is predeceased by her husband Robert Stover, and her son John David. She is survived by her 4 children, Margaret (Eggleston), Mary Kardols (Jerry D.), Robert (Bob) Jr. (Belle), and Evelyn Spann (Rick). She has 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Advantage Funeral Home 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272 on Friday January 9, 2026 from 3:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral Services will begin on Saturday Morning at 10:00 am. Following the funeral she will be transported to the Shady Grove Baptist Church 9192 US-41 ALT N, Sebree, KY 42455 for the Burial and Repass.

Key Passage: Come unto me, you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
-Matt 11:28-30
