

Nancy was born on March 27, 1943, in Shively, Kentucky, to Elmer and Nannie Bratcher. She graduated from Butler High School in 1961 and married Lawrence Gunter on June 16, 1961. They were married for 23 years until they divorced in 1984 and remained friends until Lawrence died in 1989.
Nancy worked as a salesperson in different capacities, starting with real estate at Robert McDonald Realtors. Later, she went to work for Tafel Supply & Electric Company as a distributor for Sharp Microwave Ovens in the Tri-state area, even becoming the first woman to ever win the coveted 'Shogun award', an honor bestowed on the top salesperson of the year. Nancy became a familiar figure at Biff's Gun World, working there for many years until she retired.
Nancy was known as 'The Pizza Lady" at the Knob Creek Gun Range Machine Gun Shoots, serving thousands of Pizza's to hungry patrons over the years.
Nancy has spent her retirement years with her life partner, Winifred 'Biff' Sumner, traveling and shopping at yard sales and flea markets, finding their loved collectables and Elvis memorabilia.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Wayne Gunter (Trish) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Kimberly Louise Lynn of Georgetown, Kentucky and Gary Lynn Gunter of Satsuma, Florida.Her granddaughters, Danielle, Krissa, Rachael, McKenzie, Emily, Amy, Roxie, Sophia, and Mollie, and her many great-grandchildren.
Nancy is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Brown (Freddy) and her many nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by her partner in this chapter of their lives and her love, Winifred 'Biff' Sumner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nannie Bratcher, her infant brothers Eddie and Freddie Bratcher, Her sister and Brother in law, Louise and Eugene 'Shorty' Kitchen, and her daughter Mollie Jo Gunter, infant granddaughter Greta, and son in law, Willie Lynn.
Nancy's zest for life and her feisty personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In honoring Nancy's wishes, she will be cremated with a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Home of the Innocents in Memory of Nancy.
