Nancy Miller Irving, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 29, due to complications from a stroke in 2025. She was born in 1937 in Lynchburg, VA, to Edward and Laura Miller.
Along with her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Will (Buddy) Irving, and a son, Billy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Joseph Graper, of Palmyra, Virginia, and many wonderful friends.
Nancy was a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a member of Beargrass Christian Church and was substitute teacher for many years in the elementary school at Kentucky Country Day.
She loved her home and especially enjoyed working in the yard, no matter the season. She was a voracious reader of historical novels and mysteries, just to name a few.
Although she didn’t play golf, she would sometimes accompany Buddy in the evenings to Midland Golf Trail and walk the course while he played a round.
These past months were very difficult for Nancy, her family and friends. She is now at peace.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for both Nancy and Buddy (who passed away during Covid).
