Norma retired from Kiddie Kampus Day Care, a vocation that reflected her steady care for children. She was also a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dan Hicks; and by her parents, Hargis and Ruth Brewer.
She is survived by her children: Lisa Presley-Codey (Jerry), Maria Durbin (Wayne), Dawn Cox (Rob), and Scott Hicks.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Brent, Kayla, Curtis, Krystal, Blair, Melanie, Haley, Alyssa, and Faith; and by her great-grandchildren Jordan, Camden, Chayse, Camilla, Azzie, Rylee, Jason, Roland, Brendyn, Emberly, Kiana, Skyla, Lucy, Bentley, Silas, Paisley, and Presley.
She is further survived by her brother, Gary Brewer, and her sister, Kathy Brown.
Norma also held deep affection for her beloved dog, Sophie Perl, who was a treasured part of her daily life.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Advantage Heady Dixie, 7710 Dixie Hwy with funeral services on Friday, July 24 at 10:00am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in support of Pancreatic Cancer Research.
