Patricia Ann Gritton, 83, was called home to be with her loving Father on Monday September 28, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. Her 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren were blessed by their loving Granny who adored each of them immensely.
Patricia was born on May 27, 1943 in Louisville to the late Lawrence and Edna Hill. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, and was active in numerous parish ministries over the years at both Our Lady of Consolation and St Peter the Apostle. She retired from PNC Bank and enjoyed retirement life traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Gilbert Gritton; children Michael Gritton Michelle Mitchell (Mark), Mark Gritton (Holly), and Marcia Carrico (Tom); her sister, Mary Radcliff; daughter in law Rhonda Gritton , 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Wanda Madden, Barbara Kenney, Betty Phillips, brother Lawrence Hill, brothers-in-law Larry Phillips, Richard Radcliff, Bill Kenney and her nephew Gary Phillips.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm Thursday at Advantage Funeral Home – Heady Dixie, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5433 Johnsontown Rd, followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Right to Life or Mass of the Air.
