Rachel Sams, 90, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Sams; Her children, Virginia Price, Harold Sams, J.D. Sams, Linda Lou Carpenter, Sandy Kay Smith, Tommy Sams; She was a member of the Bond Holiness Church. Rachel is survived by her children, Carl Sams (Mary Sue), Martha Coots, Mary Janice Lewis (Renee), Gary Sams (Diane), Joyce Phillips (Albert), Marcella Phillips; Sister, Ethel Spurlock, and Francis Baker; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her service will be at 11am Saturday at the Bond Holiness Church, with Rev. Kevin Lloyd and Rev. Jimmy Deckard, with burial following in Seven Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 6pm on Friday at the church.
