Robert B. DePrez, 76, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday at Baptist Hospital East. He worked at International Harvester for 17 years until it closed. Then with his wife Pauline opened DePrez Jewelry & Loan, where through his hard work his business became successful. He was the Kentucky Pawn Brokers Association first President.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Charlotte DePrez; Brother, James DePrez; Granddaughter, Alyssa Bryant; and brother-in-law, Arthur Lamb; and other family members, Mary DePrez, Bob Cooper and Uncle Stan who was known as Dad.
He is survived by his Wife, Pauline DePrez; Sons, Michael, James, and Robert DePrez: Daughters, Karen Cooper-DePrez, Cindy Cooper-Deprez-Carlisle (John), Debbie DePrez-Smith (Corey), Mary DD DePrez-Ritter (Dave), Theresa Cooper-Deprez-Flanders (Chuck), Beth Cooper-DePrez-Bryant; Sister, Daina DePrez of Minneapolis Minn.; Sixteen Grandchildren, and Fifteen Great Grand Children.
The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Ljubic, Dr. Pelligrini, Dr. Henes, and the staff of Baptist Towers 4th floor for all of their care and compassion.
His funeral service will be held 1:00pm Saturday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8 pm and from 10:00am until service time on Saturday.
