Born on September 21, 1942 in Whitby, WV, he was the son of Homer St. Clair Price and Doris Wyatt Price and graduated from Woodrow Wilson in 1960. Scotty lettered at Woodrow Wilson in baseball and basketball as well as played Babe Ruth Baseball for Keatley’s Sporting Goods of Beckley. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Scotty married his beloved wife, Patty, and shared 56 years of loving marriage. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with a wonderful daughter, Kelli.
Scotty’s attention to detail extended not only from his personal and family life but also into his business ventures as he led his teams at Casual Corner (Birmingham), Rosenbloom’s (Ashland/Huntington); Schwabe-May (Charleston) & Wright’s in Huntington, WV until he came to Louisville, KY and excelled at Rodes For Him & Her for 18 years until his retirement in 2008. His love for sports, especially golf, continued in not only following local teams but his desire to help others and his love for golf took him to be involved for 32 years with the AIM For The Handicap Golf Tournament where he volunteered.
He will be remembered by his wife, Patty; daughter, Kelli Price; brother, Kevin Price and his wife, Gina Price; sister in law, Gay Howell Allen; special family member, Dr. Jo A. Geiger; nieces and nephews; his many co-workers and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Arch L. Heady and Son – Westport Road in Louisville (7410 Westport Road). The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the start of the service.
