He was a retired equipment operator for Louisville Water Company, Baptist by faith and was a member of the Army reserves.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald L. Morton Jr. and Terry Morton.
Survivors include a special friend Joyce Ashby, two sons, Dennis Morton (Rita) and Keith Morton (Stephanie), two daughters, Darlene McMillion (Roger) and Judy Wallace (Buddy); one brother, Harvey "Eddie" Morton, one sister, Myrtle Pallast (Ted), one stepson, Marshall Ashby, three stepdaughters, Monica Atcher (Kevin), Annette Woodrum and Joy Wine' (Gill), 15 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Service will be noon Tuesday at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation: Monday, 2-8 p.m.; and Tuesday, 9 a.m. until service time
