Russell will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his love for life. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. His laughter, kindness, and outgoing spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Kyle Hamilton; his father and stepmother, Billy and Scharlene Ridge; his sisters, Alycia Singleton, Tammie Carrier, Tracy Tracy; his brother, Marty Ridge and sister Jessica Stottmann.
Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Carrier.
A visitation will be held on January 3, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home-Hardy Chapel, located at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272.
Following the visitation, military honors will take place at the same venue from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Russell will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
