It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Rose Beam, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Sharon peacefully departed from this world on July 26, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 79.
Born on May 23, 1944, in Louisville, Sharon was the daughter of Bob and Marian Alfred. She grew up in a loving family with her 3 siblings, Tony, Ginger, and Kelly. From an early age, Sharon displayed a remarkable zest for life and a curious mind that would carry her through a lifetime of joy and laughter.
Sharon's defining passion was being a woman of God, her commitment to the community was unwavering. She was a true embodiment of a Christian and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She dedicated most of her life to serving the Lord and spreading His Word. Sharon had a profound impact on countless people, always going above and beyond to help others, no matter how great the need. One of her greatest gifts was making people feel loved and special. She spent her time cooking, feeding homeless and ministering the Word of God to countless men and women. Her kindhearted wisdom and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on people around her. Sharon’s unconditional love and ministry changed many lives forever. She was truly a servant of the Lord.
Sharon is a mother of four children, Timmy Beam, Lesli McDonogh (husband Tim), Kelli Peters (husband Chris) and Adam Beam (wife Brittney). Sharon is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Tony Alfred, two sisters, Ginger Ottersbach, Kelly Ottersbach, and her honorary sister JoAnn Sandbach. Last but not least, Sharon is also survived by her best friend and husband of 59 years, Don Beam.
Sharon was a pillar of strength for her family. She was a doting mother to her four children and cherished every moment spent with them. Sharon loved being “Nanny” to her grandchildren and was their number one cheerleader, always encouraging them to chase their dreams and believed in their ability to achieve greatness. As a devoted wife to her beloved husband, she exemplified what it meant to be a partner through the highs and lows of life. Her love, support, and loyalty were cornerstones of their marriage, creating a bond that time could never diminish.
Sharon will forever be remembered as a warm-hearted and compassionate individual. She had an uncanny ability to connect with others, effortlessly making friends wherever she went. Sharon's infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around her. The loss of Sharon leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her unwavering love, contagious spirit, and genuine kindness.
Today, we say goodbye to Sharon, but let us not mourn her departure. Instead, let us celebrate her incredible life and the profound impact she had on each and every one of us. As we honor her memory, let us remember the lessons she taught us: to love unconditionally, embrace every adventure, make a difference in the lives of others, and above all, have a relationship with Jesus. Sharon never liked goodbyes, instead she would say, “See ya soon!”

Visitation for Sharon will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 at Heady-Hardy funeral home, 7710 Dixie Hwy from 2 to 8 pm and Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 9 am to her service time at noon. Entombment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Hwy.
