

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Sharon lived a life defined by her unwavering love for family, strong work ethic, and generous spirit. She found great joy in caring for those she loved and was known for her kindness, warmth, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. Sharon was also a talented baker whose famous brownies and carrot cakes won numerous blue ribbons and became a beloved tradition at family gatherings and community events.
Sharon retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco after many years of dedicated service. Alongside her beloved husband, Robert L. “Bob” Taylor, she proudly co-owned and operated B&S Salvage Mart, where they built not only a successful business but also countless friendships throughout the community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Taylor; her parents, Ralph and Daisy Murphy; her brother, R.B. Murphy, Jr.; and her sister, Phyllis Lane.
Sharon leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Cindy Teale (Fred), Pamela Willett (James), and Lisa Cissell (Frank); her sisters, Vickey Martin (Robert), Marlene Burns (Rusty), Kim Taylor (David), and Rebecca Hoskins; her brothers, Michael Murphy (Tammy), Robert Murphy (Shirley), and Mark Murphy (Julie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Sibley (Sean), Joshua Teale, Taylor Willett (Sam), Evan Willett (Sharzaud), Ashley Simms (Jason), and Justin Cissell; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Austin (Jennah), Johnathan, Ethan, Madison, Raelin, Annabelle, Elijah, and Jacob.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, June 22 at Advantage Funeral Home - Heady Dixie, 7710 Dixie Hwy. A funeral service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery.
