She was a former truck driver and trainer for Covenant Transport, a member of City of Refuge Worship Center and a life time member of VFW Post #1181 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ballew; and father, Clyde Newman.
Survivors include her sisters, Lisa Barber Atwell (Roger), Vickie Barber Peck (David), Melissa Newman Carr (Ken); stepbrother, Jarrod Ballew (Wendy); stepfather, Robert Ballew; seven nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and great-nephews; and life partner, Dee Troub.
Her service will be on Monday at 2 p.m. at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home and after 10 a.m. on Monday.
