Smith Vance Sr.

Born on May 22, 1944, Smith lived a full life that touched the hearts of many. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.

Some of the things in life he enjoyed, were fishing, hanging out with his kids and his grandkids, tinkering in the garage and working with Larry.

Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Emma Jean Vance, sister Patty Poole, brothers Charles E. Vance Jr., and Robert E. Vance (Sugarbear), and two twin siblings that passed away very early during infancy.

He is survived by his children Kim Wright (Sam), Tracy Brown (Mike), Smith E Vance Jr., Josh Vance, Lacey Montgomery (J.R.) and Brandy Dove (Casey), grandchildren Brandon, Austin, Samantha, John Michael, Kevin, Ryan, Jackson, Hannah, Jace, Jaedyn, Alexia, Joseph, Kennedy, Makiah and Everly, great-grandchildren JaLynn, Aubrey, Skylar, Elias, Everett, Cedar, Emmerson, Ire'Lynn and Jameson, and best buds Larry Davis, Caskey, Mike Sells, Ricky Webb Sr., Jimbo and Kenny Vincent, and the Smith brothers.

Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral Home-Hardy Chapel, located at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, 40272. Family and friends may visit on December 1, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm to pay their respects and celebrate Smith's enduring legacy.
