She was a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Benningfield was preceded in rest by her husband of 57 years, Randell Benningfield, Sr.; her daughter, Teresa "Missy" Benningfield; son, Randell Benningfield, Jr and sister, Mary "Kathy" Chestnut.

She is survived by a son, Chris "Buster" Benningfield (Bridget); six grandchildren, Bryce Benningfield (Samantha), Keegan Benningfield, Chelsie Aiken (Brad), Kendall Beck, Kylee Beck and Andrew Cunningham; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Dakota Campbell; and siblings, Willie Key, Michael Key, Shelia Duvall, Donnita Key and Johnny Key.

Her funeral will be Thursday 1pm, November 5, 2026, at the Advantage Funeral Home – Heady-Dixie, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 3pm until 8pm.
