Travis Lee Woodbury Sr.

Travis Lee Woodbury, 51, of Toledo, OH, was taken away from us too soon on Sunday, August 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, music, and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He was born on September 19, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio, to James and Karen Woodbury. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 1993, where he met the love of his life, Dawn. Their love story continued beyond high school, and they were married on November 16, 1996. This November, they would have celebrated 30 years of marriage—a beautiful testament to a love that began when they were young and grew into a lifetime together.

Travis was employed for 20 years at Hoover Wells and was a member of Plasterers & Cement Masons Union Local 886.

He had many passions, but music and his guitar held a special place in his heart. One of his greatest joys was sitting down to play a song requested by “the girls.” He never needed much convincing when his family asked him to play; making them happy was all the reason he needed.

He was a devoted fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Red Wings. He loved taking his family to the Walleye and Mudhens games and cheering on his teams. Some of his favorite memories were made during family trips to Gatlinburg, where time spent together mattered more than anything else.

Above all, Travis was a family man and the best dad ever and would’ve been the best grandpa too. He gave his family funny nicknames, endless love, encouragement, and support, always showing up for the people he loved. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of home, and his absence will be deeply felt.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Dawn; his son, Travis Jr., daughters, Presley, Ava and Shelby; his mother, Karen Woodbury; sister, Tara Woodbury; mother in law, Barbara Buckles; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Woodbury; grandparents, Wayne and Ruth Woodbury, Roma and Edna Wilson; Aunt Millie Dougherty and father in law, William Buckles.

Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave, the music he played, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will continue on through the people who loved him most.

He will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
