She was born April 10, 1930 in Hart County, KY, the daughter of Willie and Maymie Coats Adwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Fox; sister, Corene Floyd; brothers, Irvin, Orville and Ellis Adwell.
Virginia was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her step-son, Gary Day Fox; two sisters, Dorothy Hess and Geneva Stephens; two grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
