Miller, Virginia (Niemann) 93, (The Apple Lady) went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 14, 2011. Virginia was from one of the oldest families in Shively. She and her family owned and operated Riverview Farms Dairy and Miller’s Orchard. She attended St. Helens School and was a member of the Women’s Republican Club of Louisville and Jefferson County. She was preceded in death by her husband George A. Miller and her parents William and Maggie (Arnold) Niemann and her sister –in-law Mary Katherine Miller. She is survived by her three children George A. Miller II, Mary Miller Snyder Erenthal (Shel) and Bill Miller (Vicki), three grandchildren, Rebecca Snyder Farris (Eddie), Matthew Miller (Susana) and Megan Miller. She has four great grandchildren Easton, Madison, Chase, Turner Farris and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 20, 2011 at noon at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home 7710 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 1p.m. until 8p.m. and Friday after 10 am.
