Virginia Catherine Ward

Virginia attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church. James and Virginia were married at the young age of 18 and ended up in Louisville, KY via James' job with General Electric, they shared a long marriage of love and laughter. She had an Associates Degree in Business that she earned from Jefferson Community and Technical College later in life when her daughter Karen started college, they attended the first year of college there together. She was a retired bookkeeper and worked for several years at Louisville Gym and Swim before starting her own business.

Left to cherish Virginia's memory are her loving husband, James; her four beloved children, James J. (Trisha), Daniel M. (Arlene), Karen A. Ward Callahan (Eugene), and Tomas P. (Lynne); five amazing grandchildren, Tiffany Boyce (Mike), Jennifer Wates (Brent), Sean Callahan, Conor Ward and Khali Ward; 4 wonderful great-grandchildren, Jackson Boyce, Emily Boyce, Hayden Wates and Caleb Wates.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 7 at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, from 3pm to 8pm. A funeral mass to celebrate Virginia's life will be conducted on Saturday, April 8 at 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherryood Road. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Virginia's memory to the American Lung Association.
