Wade married his high school sweetheart and was a broker in Real Estate. He graduated from Durrett High School and loved gadgets - he had to have "the newest and the brightest". He was a member of KREE, KREIA, and Audubon Country Club. Wade was an avid University of Louisville Football fan and an amazing husband, dad, and PawPaw.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents; and his service dog, Abby.
Left to cherish Wade's memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Denise Ramey; children, Lorie Ramey-Hendrix (Tim), Karen Vowels (Dwane), Jason Ramey (Becky); grandchildren, Tim Hendrix II (Dani), Della Ramey, Jacob Ramey, Justice Hendrix, Trevor Bielefeld; great-grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Paisley; siblings, Delvan Ramey (Trish), Robert Ramey; his furry companion, LiLu; several extended family members and a host of great friends!
Per Wade's wishes cremation has been chosen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Audubon Country Club, 3265 Robin Rd 40213 on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 3pm until 7pm.
Memorial donations in Wade's honor should be directed to the BIAK (Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky) or LMAS (Louisville Metro Animal Services).
