He was a native of Louisville, a retired assembly worker for Navistar-International Harvester and a member of UAW.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughter, Amy Broom (Kevin) of Shepherdsville; sons, William Jr. (Bonnie) of Clarksville, IN and James W. Gooch, Sr. of Louisville; sisters, Sue Hunsucker (Dale) and Sylvia Rose (Ronnie); and six grandsons.
His service will be on Thursday at noon at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
