Coach Bill Miller, 68, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 23, 2018.

He was born at the old apple orchard “Miller’s Curve” on Cane Run Road to the late George and Virginia Miller. He attended PRP High School, where he later retired as a teacher, and then coached baseball. He met his high school sweetheart there and later married. He attended the University of Alabama, and played football for Bear Bryant and played baseball. Baseball was his passion, making boys into great men. Once a Panther, always a Panther.

Bill is survived by his wife Vicki Miller; son, Matt Miller (Susana); daughter, Megan Miller; sisters, Mary Erenthal (Shel) and Holly Noel DePold (Mike); a brother, George Miller, Jr.; and an amazing group of friends, coaches, and players, both current and former.

Visitation will be held from 12-8 pm Thursday at Southeast Christian Church (SW), 8301 St. Andrews Church Road. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Friday at the church, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Bill and Vicki Miller Baseball Foundation at any local branch of PNC Bank.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the following: Dr. Olash, Dr. Kommor, Dr. Kute, Dr. Sayied and the entire respiratory and nursing team that helped with Coach at Baptist Health.
