

William (Bill) Kenneth Williams, 97, of Pewee Valley, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2026. Born on June 4, 1929, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Bill lived a long and devoted life centered around family, service to his country, and hard work.
His passions at home included woodworking, painting, model trains,and gardening. He was also known for his skills in home improvement projects.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Navy Reserves. Following his time in the Navy, Bill was employed by Louisville Gas and Electric where he served as a first responder, delivering First Aid to injured workers on-site. Bill retired from LG&E after many years of dedicated service and was presented with a Bell Award in recognition of his volunteer service to train other first responders.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine (Peggy) Williams, his sister Imogene Williams, brothers Milton and Robert Williams, and grandson Alan Phillips. He is survived by daughters Suzie Stabile (Leo), Debbie Berger (David), and Melanie Phillips (Aron); and grandchildren, Joshua Berger, Derek Phillips, Sarah Meredith. He was cherished by many and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady, Westport, 7410 Westport Rd Louisville,KY 40222 on July 9th, 2026 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, immediately followed by funeral services at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, KY.
The family would like to extend their thanks for the dedication, kindness and loving care provided to Bill at the Forest Springs Health Campus. Thanks also to the staff from Hosparus who provided compassion and comfort in Bill's final days.
