Mrs. Collette was born January 21, 1915 in Poteau, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Mary Jane (Essary) and William Harvey Peters. She passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Houston, Texas.
She married M. D. Collette in 1940, who predeceased her in 1983. She worked as a laboratory clerk at Memorial Hospital in Houston for 28 years prior to her retirement in 1982. Adell relished her role as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Dale and Daria Collette of Houston; grandson, Stephen Collette and wife Maureen of The Woodlands; granddaughter, Leslie Schatte of Conroe; sister, Hazel Wood Thomas of Pomona, Kansas; brother, Roy Peters of Brisbane, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Collette’s family is grateful for the outstanding care given to her by Com For Care Assisted Living Facility and Compassionate Care Hospice.
