Annie Doris Choate Brandon Berryhill

Services for Annie Doris Choate Brandon Berryhill, 92, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Mrs. Berryhill was born November 15, 1925 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late Nora (Haney) and J. R. Choate. She passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Berryhill was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a teacher for more than 30 years. She enjoyed playing “42” and was a member of the Good Sam Travel Club. Mrs. Berryhill was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Smith of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Carol Berryhill of The Woodlands; daughter, Pamela “Kay” Bonner; and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berryhill was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leon Berryhill; son, Ron Brandon; and five sisters. Member of Calvary Baptist Church will serve as Mrs. Berryhill’s pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
