

Mr. Willis worked as a trucking shop foreman. His family, children, grandchildren, and parents were very important to him. He was a hog hunter and loved any hunting, period. Mr. Willis was baptized at Oak Grove Assembly of God and attended Victory Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Willis; daughters, Cristal Willis and Zeferina Servin; sons, David Willis, Fermine Hernandez and Guadalupe Hernandez; 7 grandchildren; parents, Wylie Joe and Delma Joyce Willis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Mark Smith, Darlene and Guillermo Galindo and Ann and Ronald Garcia; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Sherry Willis; and a number of extended family and friends.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by 2 sets of grandparents; and 4 uncles.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and Willie Spikes, R.N., on the 3rd Floor of Memorial Medical Systems of East Texas for the love and care shown to him during his final illness.
Services for Mr. Willis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. James Mills and Bro. Felipe Palacios officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
