Private graveside services for Arthur Eugene (Red) Paust, 74, of Lufkin will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Bro. Charlie Herrington officiating.
Arthur was born on January 30, 1948 in Houston, Texas, son of the late Virginia Louise (Jackson) and Arthur William Paust. He passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in a local hospital.
Mr. Paust was an Army Veteran. He worked at different places in Houston and Galveston County. In Lufkin, he worked for Lufkin Industries, and Consolidated Telephone Company. Arthur could fix anything. He enjoyed working on houses, mowing, and splitting firewood. He was mechanically inclined and always wanted to teach the young guys how to fix and work on things. He was always helping someone.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Paust of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jason Hungerford of New Brighton, Minnesota; stepsons, Justin Little of Lufkin, Patrick Little of Lufkin; brother and wife, Kenneth and Dona Paust of Bedford; sister, Nancy; brother-in-law and wife, Dannie and Charlotte Daniel of Lufkin; grandsons, Sawyer and Elliot Hungerford of New Brighton, Minnesota; mother-in-law, Jodie Daniel of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick Wayne Paust; and sister, Helen Mosier.
Pallbearers will be Justin Little, Dannie Daniel, Brandall Daniel, Kyle Daniel, Sammy Braden, Tim Malnar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Little and Dr. Jansen Todd.
