Services for Beatrice Alexander, 92, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Family visitation will precede the service at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Alexander was born April 24, 1926 in Shelby County, Texas, the daughter of the late Alice White Jackson and John Jackson. She passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Mrs. Alexander was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was retired from Woodland Heights Hospital. She has resided in Lufkin most of her life. The past three years she has resided in Pearland at Windsong Care Center. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Sheryl Alexander of League City and David and Sherry Alexander of Brandon, Mississippi; grandchildren, Shane Minshew of Tylertown, Mississippi, Chad Alexander and wife Amye of Brandon, Mississippi, Tara Graham and husband Scott of Pollok, Holly Minor of Roseville, California, Jeffrey Alexander and wife Jennifer of Webster, and Amy Stamm and husband John of Tomball; great grandchildren, Sara Ann Minshew of Huntington, Wyatt, Preston, and Garrett Graham of Pollok, David and Michelle Minor of Roseville, California, Avery and Maryn Alexander of Brandon, Mississippi, Aidan and Preston Hall of Brandon, Mississippi, and Phillip, Andrew, and Alyssa of Tomball; sisters, Mildred Poe of Baton Rouge and Johnnie Boston of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Alexander Sr.; daughter, Katherine Minshew; sisters, Mabel Knight and Winnie Massingill; and grandsons, John David Alexander and Jeremy Alexander. Pallbearers will be Larry Jackson, Chris Jackson, Scott Graham, Chad Alexander, Jeffrey Alexander, and Greg Boston.
