Beatrice "Bea" Allen Bourrous

Services for Beatrice Bourrous, 94, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Cowart and Bro. Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Bourrous was born October 15, 1920 in Angelina County, TX and passed away September 18, 2015 in a local nursing facility. She was the daughter of the late Mattie (Tucker) and Ezra V. Allen.

She was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and watching sports. She was a member of O’Quinn Baptist Church.

Survivors include sister, Mary Ellen Luce of Lufkin; sister, Annie Ruth Tucker of Pollok; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray Allen and Nancy of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Jerry Bourrous of Pollok; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bourrous; brother, Alton Allen; sister, Mabel Matthews; brothers-in-law, Bill Luce, Bobby Tucker and J. H. Matthews; and sister-in-law, Joyce Allen.

Pallbearers are Steve Allen, Christopher Allen, Andy Tucker, Bob Tucker, Darrell Luce, Randy Luce and Malcom Allen.

Memorial contributions may be made to O’Quinn Baptist Church, 7433 US Highway 69 North, Pollok, TX 75969 or to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, TX 75904.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
