Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 for Bertha Aguilar, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Denzil Vithanage, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Aguilar was born June 20, 1946 in Mexico, the daughter of the late Paula (Picasso) and Alfonso Alvarez. She passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Aguilar was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, painting and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed singing and dancing with her grandchildren, who were her everything.
Survivors include her husband, Santos Aguilar of Diboll; son, Ernesto Aguilar and family of Diboll; daughters, Sonia Meza and family of Diboll, Lucy Lopez and family of Lufkin, and Irma Montoya and family of Diboll; brother, Miguel Alvarez of Eagle Pass; and daughter-in-law, Eva Aguilar and family of Diboll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jesus Aguilar.
