

Services for Billie Franklin Renfro, 74, of Lufkin, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Pannell officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mrs. Renfro was born October 11, 1938 in Joaquin, Texas. She passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 in a local hospice facility.
Mrs. Renfro was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the co-owner of Renfro Smoke Sausage. She and her husband worked side by side for 56 years to develop a successful business. She was an outdoor person and enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts and dancing. She was a very loving, caring person. She was a member of Stillwaters Cowboy Church.
Survivors include her husband, M. L. (Sonny) Renfro of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Steven Dew of Lufkin; sons, Larry W. Renfro of Lufkin and Robert D. Renfro of Houston; grandchildren, Shannon Hardesty and husband Manuel, Larimy Renfro, and Cody Dew and wife, Angela; great-grandchildren, Dustin Hardesty, Cheyenne Hardesty, Hunter Dew, Chloe Marie Dew, Madeline Charlotte Ray Dew, and Brayden Lee Renfro; brother, Bobby Franklin of San Saba; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Renfro was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Athey in 1977; and her father, Thomas Aubrey.
Pallbearers will be Steve Dew, Larry Renfro, Larimy Renfro, Robert Renfro, Manuel Hardesty and Cody Dew.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Russell Renfro, Dustin Hardesty, Richard Havard and Gare Havard.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Renfro’s memory may be made to Stillwaters Cowboy Church, 111 Tom Holland Road, Lufkin, TX 75901.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home.
