Bob Lester

He served his country in the National Guard of Texas from 1955 to 1961 and attained the rank of SP4. He worked in computer sales and was also of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lester went out of his way to take pictures of everyone's activities and events and then he would make videos of the event and return the video to them as a keepsake. He loved to travel.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and George O'Keeffe of Willis, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Herschel and Gelene Lester of Ennis; four nieces; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean Lester in 1996.

Pallbearers will be Herschel Lester, III, Rich Teza, Carlton Fuqua, Ron Rose, Austen Ferguson and Jeremiah Jones.

Services for Mr. Lester will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike David officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, TX.
