

Services for Charlotte Snodgrass, 95, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at First Christian Church, with Reverend Stephen Lantis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born March 1, 1920 in Glendora, California, the daughter of the late Rebecca Susan (Brubaker) and Simon Henry Hosfeldt. She passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 in a local hospice facility.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the office manager of Angelina Glass from 1955 to 1979. She enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved to travel in her RV. Mrs. Snodgrass was a member of First Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star #382.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Young of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sandra Snodgrass of Lufkin; grandchildren, David Snodgrass and wife Teri of League City, Leslie Detrick and husband Danny of Bedford, Eric Young and wife Sarah of Austin, Scott Young and wife Stacey of Sugarland, Julie Kimble and husband Glen of Lufkin, and Angie Ferguson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 9 great-grandchildren; niece, Becky Tynes and husband Thomas of Lufkin; nephew, Mike Allbritton and wife Jan of Lufkin; friend, Ethel Havard of Lufkin; and a number of other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snodgrass was preceded in death by her husband, Alva W. Snodgrass.
Pallbearers will be Scott Young, Eric Young, David Snodgrass, Danny Detrick, Glen Kimble and Austin Kimble.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dena Niosi and Brenda Harvey of Hospice in the Pines and to Dr. Kyle Krohn for their loving care of Mrs. Snodgrass.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 1300 S. First Street, Lufkin, TX 75901; or to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, TX 75904.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
